Another
day on the Nullarbor, awake at 5 am due to the roadhouse has a generator
running 24 hours a day, and of course we could hear it all night. Clouds were
coming and mark put out the call sign for all systems go, yelling all help it's
going to rain. We all help very quickly and everything is packed and we are off
by 7.30 am.
On our way again and we stop in Eucla just before we cross
the Western Australian / South Australian border as we have some veggies. We
offer them to a couple that were going the other direction, however the
gentleman told us its in Ceduna that you go through quarantine. So we held on
to our veggies. We crossed the border and 2.5 hours vanished with a blink
of an eye and just to confuse our body clocks even more. Its 9am but
really its lunchtime, so we stopped off at one of the lookouts on the
Great Australian Bight for lunch and walked to the edge of the cliff face to
see, yet again beautiful blue ocean. Driving and driving and kids playing
ipods and watching movies we arrive at the town Nullarbor.

Our camp, looking very lonely out there on its own |
We stay at the
roadhouse and we had to go in the area where you can use your pegs but it is no
poser. One good thing it was tucked away behind the backpackers huts out of the
wind. Opposite our site is the Nullarbor golf course; each hole is played at
each roadhouse. The kids loved playing on the putting green. As we lost time
and its now daylight savings, we had more daylight and the sun went down around
7.40pm, so we could have dinner a little later. Not much more to do than to go
to bed at 9.30pm but difficult to go to sleep as our body thinks its 6.30pm.
