Wharf where the big ships come in |

Tuesday morning awakes us, and Dylan asks,
“are we doing the same again today”, its called relaxation and its nice to take
it slowly. We went to check out the wharf and this is where my mum and dad’s
ship would of docked when they came here last year. The water color is just
amazing its hard to describe it, its like its not actually real. Had a walk along
the wharf and then drove to Gantheum point, where the tide was at its highest
this year, 9 metres. We went and stood on the rocks and from afar could see a
whale. We knew it was a whale as he would spray up water and then you could see
a tale out of the water. Another historical landmark at Gantheum point was
Anastasia’s pool. There is a house at the point and it has million dollars
views and many years ago a gut lived there with his wife who had arthritis and
he made a pool down on the rocks and would carry her to a pool he made, its now
called Anastasia’s pool. Young locals were down jumping of the rocks as the
tide was so high, but I couldn’t look as they jumped. We went into the shops after that, nice to get some
air-condition relief, as we had to increase our Internet, AGAIN. We looked
around all the shops and then had some hot chippies for lunch from the local
fish and chip shop. Did a bit of souvenir shopping and post card hunting, as we
are collecting postcards from each place, as the pictures are fantastic. Checked out an old amphitheatre in the town,
which is still used today, its outside but all old fashioned, we walked in and
took a look around. Went back to camp and used the magnificent pool once again
Kids just love it and we love sitting around and soaking up the rays of
sunshine, while we can before we head south. I was thinking of my trip the next day, and what it was
going to be like. I haven’t been on a play in 13 years since we got married, so
nerves started to set in. I got myself organized and showered the night before
as I was to be picked up at 5.30am out the front of the caravan park the next
morning. I received a phone call to confirm my booking tonight, so it was real
it was happening. Mark took kids down to beach for a play, while had a little me, time. A difficult night to sleep, as it was hot and muggy and I had
a mind that was ticking over and over. Mark had said he would get up with the
kids and see me off on the bus, I had said no way, and it’s too early. All
asleep ready for the big day.
